How Traditional Homestay was born! My weekend trips to Sakleshpura, to our coffee estate was to get away from the maddening, ever growing crowd, the chaotic city life, the incessant noise and the omnipresent social media, seeking peace and quiet amidst the lush green plantation spread over 100 acres. The bloom of coffee flowers, the far-reaching fragrance filling my senses and the chirping of birds, the mist covered mountains, the fresh smell of earth after the rains, the star filled sky just pulled me in and brought about a calm and reduced my stress every time. It was my own little patch of heaven, and it was available to me when I wanted.
On one such trip, I thought to myself why not let others experience this feeling of? This would also provide me with an opportunity to be here more often than just on weekends and Traditional Homestay was born. When I took this idea to my dad, he was skeptical initially given that there were quite a few home stays scattered around. If he had to agree, his condition was that he wanted Traditional Homestay to be different. To stand away from the crowd. To be different from the regular concrete structures. To make guests feel at home. And also, we can arrange events at extra costs like Destination weddings, Mehndi or engagement, Corporate gateways, Family and friends reunion, Rediscover family bonding, Experiencing wilderness, Trekking program and Adventure/Village activities, Riverside retreats, Off roading experience, Photo shoots.
