Ragigudda Anjaneya Temple |
The Ragigudda Sri Prasanna Anjaneya temple is a temple dedicated to Hanuman located in Jayanagar 9th Block suburb of Bangalore. The temple also hosts a Shivalinga along with Rama, Sita, Lakshmana, Hanuman shrine in the same precinct. The temple is situated on a hillock.There is a smaller temple dedicated to Ganesha, Navagrahas and Rajarajeshwari at the base of the hillock. The temple also plays host to the holy trinity of the Hindu's engraved on huge rocks at the side of the temple.It is believed that the hillock which hosts the main deity Sri Prasanna Anjaneya Swamy was formed from a heap of Ragi Millet and hence was termed "Ragigudda". During this period the holy trinity Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva expressed their will to remain near the hillock and turned themselves into stones near the hillock. These 3 stones now bear engravings of the trinity. The temple was formed in 1969 and registered in 1972.

Lalbagh or Lalbagh Botanical Gardens, meaning The Red Garden in English, is a well known botanical garden in southern Bengaluru, India. The garden was originally commissioned by Hyder Ali, the ruler of Mysore, and later finished by his son Tipu Sultan.[1] It has a famous glass house which hosts two annual flower shows (26 January and 15 August). Lalbagh houses India's largest collection of tropical plants, has a lake, and is one of the main tourist attractions in Bengaluru.[2] Lal Bagh is also home to a few species of birds. The commonly sighted birds include Myna, Parakeets, Crows, Brahminy Kite, Pond Heron, Common Egret, Purple Moor Hen etc.

Basavanagudi (Kannada: ಬಸವನಗುಡಿ) is a residential and commercial locality in the Indian city of Bangalore. It is located in South Bangalore, along the borders of Jayanagar. The name "Basavanagudi" refers to the famous Bull Temple, which contains a monolith statue of the Nandi Bull. The word Basava in the local language Kannada means bull, and gudi means temple.

Shakatapuram is a religious place for Hindus located in the Koppa taluk of the state of Karnataka, India.[1] It is located near Sringeri and is situated on the banks of river Tunga. It is famous for a Hindu Math called Shri Vidya Peetam which is present at this place. Shakatapuram is also known by the name Bhandigadi. The Kumbhabhishekam event held at this place attracts a number of devotees.The history of the Shri Vidya Peetam can be traced to a sadhu named Thotakacharya, who was a disciple of Adi Shankara and the first pontiff of the Uttaramnaya Jyotish Peetam, a Hindu institution, located in Badrinath.[1] A sadhu named Sri Satya Theertha who was of the same lineage as Thotakacharya, came to Shakatapuram about six centuries ago and established the Shri Vidya Peetam.[1] An idol of the Hindu God, Lakshmi Narayana was brought by Sri Satya Teertha from Badarinath and installed at Shakatapuram. This is the presiding deity of this place. The Hindu Gods, Krishna, Raja Rajeshwari and Dattatreya are also worshipped here. The Math preaches the Advaita form of Hindu philosophy.
